L.A.M.B.: Spring 2011 RTW

September 17, 2010

Inspiration has sprung amuck from the New York Fashion Week Spring 2011 RTW collections. Here’s how I have subbed the titles for my favorite L.A.M.B. looks.

Wrapped Up in the Moment

Mid Night

Over the Top

Not Your Bottom

Lay Over

A Spotty and Checkered Past

One Peace

The Chef and Her Cocktail

Takeaways:

* Drape scarves and wraps across the front of your body and pin at the back with an ornate brooch so that the draped material is in the back instead of the typical front; it creates a more dramatic look

* Wear unbuttoned men’s trousers- fold over the excess material and secure it with a belt

I’m really loving this collection. The play with hats, and yes, menswear up the wazoo. I really love that there is no fear of color yet the black and white hues for patterns like leopard which is loud on its own.

    P.S. Thanks for the visit!!

Great takeaways from this collection. I love those sheer pants. Not a huge fan on the overall makeup… the copper eyeshadow doesn’t compliment most models. Aside from that, thought the collection was pretty fashion forward with the inventive shapes.

    xx
